Tifanny Burks Community Organizer

Tifanny is a freedom fighter, abolitionist and community organizer. She was born in Miami and raised in Broward. Tifanny started her activist journey in 2013. She evolved into a social justice writer and community organizer with the Black Lives Matter Alliance Broward in early 2016. She is currently involved in the local Repeal The Racist Stand Your Ground Campaign and the Take Down Confederate Street Signs Campaign (Hollywood, FL). In May 2016, after attending a #SayHerName Healing Circle, Tifanny became a firm believer in restorative justice (a process that seeks to transform the way society thinks about punishment).
