Angela is a Dominican cis Black Woman who grew up in the Bronx, with deep family roots in
Miami. She is an organizer who focuses on building intergenerational solidarity, specifically
within the Afro-Caribbean communities of Miami.
Her work is oriented primarily around the mentorship of movements related to communities
reclaiming ownership of public education and the deconstruction of oppressive systems; as well
as the integration of parents, families, and the broader communities of students into said
movements.
