Jose Dominguez is a Nicaraguan-American Miami native. Born in Jackson Hospital and raised in Miami’s working class neighborhood of East Little Havana, he is a product of Miami-Dade County Public Schools. He obtained an Associate of Arts degree from Miami Dade College in 2022.

Bernie Sanders’ 2nd presidential campaign activated him to social activism which led him to become a member leader in the Miami Chapter of the DSA, Steering Committee member of the Miami-Dade Democratic Party, and Chair of the People’s Progressive Caucus.

He is committed to organizing and developing the leadership of working class communities in Miami through issue based campaigns in the pursuit of long-term, systemic change.
